Dealing with death...

Dad_and_me_2 This post is for you Dad, I love you so much. You are the greatest dad in the world! Thank you for loving me with all your heart. I have been truly blessed to have had you as my dad.

The most courageous, inspirational, loving person i know is my dad.

Over a year ago he was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. They gave him 3 to 18 months to live. Since that day lumps have popped up all over his body. He started with 10 tumors he reckons he now has over 50. There's even one on his brain! It's hard to imagine what he must be going through right now, yet he has the most amazing spirit. He lives each day with such enthusiasm and vigor. He is doing everything he ever dreamed off thanks to his kind friends (he just competed in a hill climb!). He is so amazing to be around and a real inspiration.

My dad has started a blog which is dedicated to the twilight months of his life. Please check it out, and if you know anyone else dealing with cancer share his blog with them too.

Thank you!

Facebook - ahhhh

This is Facebook outside of the web and very funny indeed. It was only the other day that Andrea gave her Facebook account "colonic irrigation" and went from having 353 friends to 55. And she still wants to "get rid of one &%^&#%^&...". It is true when you think about it, we add people who we wouldn't even stop in the street for as "friends". I am off to do some culling myself...

Muto by Blu

Okay, so I just got scolded by Andrea about my first ever post. Being an art director, my love for words cannot match that of hers. She was horrified to see that I had written "This shit turns me own" referring to the really cool animation Muto by Blu below. I hope she appreciates my efforts this time...Watch this animation. It's frikken cool.

I be trippin'.

When one wanders about on the net, minding their own business (you know how it is), one tends to stumble upon some random websites. In this case, a website called "StumbleUpon".

Basically, you tell this site what you're interested in looking at on the interweb, you press the "Stumble!" button and bam, you're discovering new websites that have your interests in mind, that you wouldn't have dreamed of looking for before now.

Stumbleexample

According to their frontal blurb, "StumbleUpon learns what you like and makes better recommendations."

I suppose that's a bit of a soft explanation. I think it's a more abstract form of a search engine, where it uses your chosen concepts rather than keywords as its base for hunting up cool sites.

Try it sometime by downloading the toolbar.
